I bed to differ regarding
a) the OP stating the price is the only thing wrong with the Macan as I can still state a whole list of tech faults/functions that have had to be disabled as they are dangerous with my soon to be one year old Turbo that are still a pain in the ass/don't work at all...
I'm completely with you on not trusting the car! I have given up on using most of the systems I used to love about my previous Audi e-tron as with Porsche they just don't behave as they were intended and are dangerously not fit for purpose.
I was having a similar issue with the port door not opening. I mentioned it last time the car was at the dealer and since then itās been opening fine. Iām not sure what/if they did anything to it, but itās definitely working as it should now.
Iāve not had exactly the same issue, but I was woken at 11pm one night by the alarm going off whilst the car was in my garage at home. The system said the frunk was open (it wasnāt) so then the rest of the car wouldnāt lock. Several attempts at locking/starting/trying to open the frunk...
Iām with you on your frustration with the multitude of issues - and this being your first and last Porsche. Last weeks new one for me was a random diff lock failure, that resolved itself after I turned the car off for 5 minutes. Iām going back to Audi when itās time to replace the Macan, as I...
A dealer will never recommend a repair over a replacement. My car was in for a recall last week and they recommended I replaced both my rear types (and gave me a quote of Ā£900!) because they were down to 3mm - when the legal limit is 1.6mm. Itās a high performance car, and yes, if I were taking...
My CarPlay randomly stopped working yesterday and gave me the black screen of death when it said it was apparently connected. Thanks for the tip on how to do a screen reset via the volume button as thatās got it sorted!
I've done 9,700 in my Turbo and both rears are down to 3mm, which is the measurement my dealer says I ought to replace them at. I'll be waiting for another mm off yet! 295/40 R 21 Michelin Pilot Sport EV
In answer to the OP - no it doesn't, unfortunately. I had that along with a load of other really useful and effective systems like route topography, on my last car - an Audi e-tron sportback, and it's all of those gadgets I really miss on the Macan. The Macan has an option to turn on route...
Iāll have to try the gentle method next time on the charger port - Iāve been giving a little push, which although effective is possibly a little rough by the looks of it.
I had this same issue after the last visit to the dealer, however that was for different issues. Iāve just given it a good clean and several pumps through as suggested and its working again. Thanks for sharing!
Youāre lucky - for a lot of us itās always been like that! The latest software update was meant to have resolved it, but itās no better. Unfortunately it may have set a poor baseline for everyone, including those who perhaps werenāt experiencing any issues in the first place.
Iāve had no overheating issues with mine. I do always close the front when itās in there and generally always have air con on, both of which help it to operate optimally. Itās still not particularly fast though, so I tend to just use a USBC cable Iāve got threaded through to the charger port...
Welcome to the world of Macan ownersip! Iāve had my Turbo since November and since A very similar issue to you of it pretty much doing an emergency stop due to reading incorrect road signs (in my case it was signposted 70 mph dropping to 50 mph, but the car read it as 5mph!) Iāve had to turn...
Ha! This presumes that any of those advertised features actually work. Iāve had paid for options on my Turbo which have never worked properly since picking it up last November - both physical and software related, and itās been into the garage 3 times so far for updates/recalls/issues which...
Isn't your last sentence a little harsh? I mean, if a safety/convenience system is provided then you'd expect it to not only work but to be fit for purpose?
I was just wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue to me....
My Turbo went into the garage mid-August for a repair on (which turned into a replacement of) the frunk lock, after the car alarm randomly started going off in the middle of the night every couple of hours as the mechanism...
Good grief - that's expensive in Canada! I have 3 years of protection for £800 (roughly $1500 CAD) for tyres and rims. My partner thought I was being overly cautious in buying the plan, only for me to have a serious puncture within the first 6 weeks of ownership that required a replacement...
