How do you manually get to the Goodbye screen to get to the power charge port button?

Since the hand motion to open the power charge port is so undependable, I usually use the button on the Goodbye screen that automatically pops up when getting out.

But sometimes I wanna do it other times too. Is there any way to get that screen to come up manually? Or are those power door buttons somewhere else too?

The quickest way to access the ”Goodbye Screen” is by turning the car off briefly with the power button. You can also open the charge ports from the Vehicle->(gear icon)->Hood, Tailgate and Charging Ports. You will find the charge ports listed there along with the ability to open them.

I also learned a way to reliably open the charge port. Put gentle pressure on the back half of the door until it starts to move. Seems to work for me every time. Also make sure your car is unlocked when you try this. A locked car also can prevent opening the charge ports.

I've been able to get the charge port doors open pretty reliably. The trick is that it's not a push, or a punch, or a finger jab. You just gently touch the rear half of the door and *hold* your hand there for at least 3 seconds or until it starts to move.

In general, it seems like some of the sensors and buttons on the car are on some kind of slow clock. If I lock the car, I hold my finger on the door handle for at least 3 seconds. When I put it in park I make sure to push it in for half a second. When I open the trunk, I do the Jedi mind trick hand motion a little slower than I think I should.

I’ll have to try the gentle method next time on the charger port - I’ve been giving a little push, which although effective is possibly a little rough by the looks of it.

Let's hijack this post: I want to get to the goodbye screen sometimes to be able to turn off the alarm and keep the vehicles systems running. This is my way of getting to some kind of dog mode that turns off the alarm and keep the airconditioning running.

All I ever came up with is put the vehicle in drive and then in park and remove the seatbelt...

I hope there's a quicker, better way.

Yes, but probably from the inside.

My situation is that I'm walking up to the car, put my dog in the back and then get access to the goodbye screen and set the two preferences. Now I have to buckle up, put the car in drive, then in park and unbuckle. That makes the screen appear.
