The idea of a "break in" period is pretty common in HiFi, from home theater to headphones. Essentially, the moving parts and material of a speaker, from the diaphragms/cones, suspension foam, etc, need time to loosen up and stabilize.
For what it's worth, I did notice an improvement with my...
That has happened to me exactly once in the year Ive owned the car. Resetting the PCM by long pressing the volume knob didn't fix it. If I remember correctly I turned off the car, exited and it worked again when I came back in. It hasn't happened again since.
Yes this! I remember when the macan was released it had one of the highest regen breaking capabilities at 240kW. But then hearing all the reviewers and so called experts saying that the Macan didn't have regen breaking drove me nuts
For me, I wholeheartedly disagree with the sentiment that the shifter should be in the lower center console like he said in the video. Personal preference I know, but I feel it would be a colossal waste of space and would rather have that space for the climate controls or additional storage...
Yeah, I don't think it's right to compare Porsche to Tesla as they are fundamentally different companies.
But I am looking forward to the next gen cars from BMW, Mercedes and Volvo when I need to replace my wife's car. BMW has the "Heart of Joy", Mercedes has MB.OS, and Volvo's SPA3 has the...
I took delivery in June '25. I bought it off the lot and don't remember the actual build date.
One of the fixes of the VR28.13 update was to make the sensors less sensitive to error conditions, so those issues should be reduced.
Yes, if we were all smart consumers, we would have waited for the 2026 Macan and we would wait for the 2028 GLC EQ. But shiny things make my lizard brain go "ooooh"
I don't want to discount anyone's negative experience, since bad examples do exist especially on new releases of new platforms...
Yup, from what I read, PPE platform has a new security gateway and encryption architecture that has yet to be cracked. And unfortunately, no aftermarket coding options until then.
Yup, I ordered the floor mats and trunk liner over Christmas and they're great. The trunk liner goes up the sides pretty far without blocking the D rings and has the flaps the cover 1/3 of the seat backs. It also comes with seat covers that velcro to the back of the seats too, so you're covered...
For #2, Here's how I "fixed" it: I have a samsung phone and created a Samsung Routine which detects when Android Auto disconnects and simply closes my music app (spotify in my case). It's worked great and I haven't had any surprise phone music in a long time. If you have a samsung, you can...
Good news
I just left my car for 7 days and it didn't lose any charge (first time for my car). I don't know if it's because the v28.13 update or if the stars magically aligned with the moon, but hopefully it keeps up.
Porsche provided a 4S at the press event, so all the other reviewers there had a chance to drive them back to back as well. It's mentioned by quite a few other reviews as well.
Personally, I'd take his comments with a grain of salt. He strikes me as a tech reviewer more than a car reviewer so...
Alternatively from oem or weatyertech, I have the Tuxmat trunk liner and I'm super happy with them. The fitment is perfect and it comes with mats that velcro to the back of the seats for protection when they are folder down. The floor liner itself has flaps that partially go up the back seats...
