I would love this feature. I'm paranoid about wearing the leather on the outer seat bolster so I'm always kind of hopping out of the car so as not to drag my pants across the bolster as much. Would be easier with the car in the lowest setting.
Also from a purely silly aesthetic point of...
I wouldn't be so quick to say that. My turbo has non-functional vents in the back, and gimicky "air blades" up front. Non functional cladding factory installed by Porsche themselves. ?
I've read a lot of posts on tire noise impressions, and it seems like the consensus is that the difference in noise is bigger between the 20" and 21" and that the 21" and 22"s were pretty similar. So this leads me to believe that the cause of the road noise has more to do with tire width than...
For older porsches, when getting an aftermarket spoiler, you'd pull the fuse for the spoiler to prevent it from extending. If you don't like it extended, you might consider doing that.
You're in a bit of an experimental territory though, so do it at your own risk.
I also have the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 AS on 22" wheels and have been very happy with them the 2 weeks I've had them so far. Very pleasantly surprised at the quietness and comfort, since I was originally worried about the 22" wheels. Turn in, handling and grip also feel good daily driving in...
I haven't test driven one yet, but I heard the audi e-tron models use the paddle shifters to control regen strength. I thought this was a brilliant idea because that's what I do now in my ice cars to downshift and engine brake
No sensor for that unfortunately. It opens to a set default height. But you can adjust the default height by manually moving the tailgate to the right position and then holding the open button for 3 seconds until it chimes. Then the next time you open it it will go to the new height and not hit...
In older Porsches, you'd use the physical key to open the driver's door, then climb into the footwell to open the fuse panel and pull out the positive terminal for the emergency frunk release. Then you'd have to find nearby chassis ground point that your cables could reach (which was difficult...
I'm curious why you would want to force regular cruise control. What situation would you do that?
In my mind the only difference between adaptive and regular/passive cruise control is that passive will let you rear end a slower car in front of you. I can't think of when that would be better.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
I have Blackvue cameras in all my cars and have done about 5 installs for friends and family, so it's good to see tips for the macan. I like the blackvue products, so I'll probably stick with it.
Good call with the SD card. I had a blackvue card die on me...
