Does everyone else have to really push hard on the frunk to close it?
Mine rarely closes first time and needs an extra ‘heavyweight’ push on the Porsche badge to get it to close.
If its just mine then I’ll take it back to dealer for inspection.
Post-trip update….
Thanks again to @Throb and @Yves for advice.
We …
-followed @Yves advice on plotting the route with Apple Maps but including the (most likely candidate) charging points as stopovers. We made in-flight decisions on wehther to stop or carry-on, as they were literally on the...
Wow - THANK YOU ! I had spotted the Ionity chargers you mentio , and they’d also come up on the Porsche route planning too for a 10-minute splash & dash (or whatever ther EV equiv of that is), so will follow your advice and schedule a stop depending on battery condition when passing throuhg...
Thanks @Throb - great advice. I’m travelling from Manchester to southern Cotswolds so will be taking in motorways initially then plenty of A + B-roads and smaller towns closer to destination. IUt seems Ionity is an option but slightly off route so wil see how I go… cheers.
Hi
I’ve had my 4S for a few weeks now and we are planning our first trip of any distance, which will involve a public recharge or maybe two. This is our first EV so we are public recharging virgins, and wanted to see what advice is out there on the most optimal way of planning and executing the...
Wow. That is concerning. Fortunately I spotted mine whilst in the drive outside my house. Will keep checking now whenever leaving in public for a while.
Same here. Also on Octopus and paid the higher rate last night as there was no control over charging as it appears Octopus could not intervene by setting up a future Schedule
Well, mine started playing up again last night ! I plugged the car in expecting Octopus to take control and it did nothing... and the car just started to take a charge at the higher rate, as I watched Octopus, charger and Porsche apps waiting for something to intervene and pause the charging...
Same issues here and possibly explains wy Octopus has failed to correctly charge my vehicle overnight as it too must rely on connectivity via the App. All plugged-in as per instructions but Octopus failed to intervene and it just charged up at the more expensive rate. I’m going to try to klet...
It seems to have settled this morning is working (hopefully). Resetting the window didnt seem to have any effect so I simply had to edge it as close to closed as I could overnight.
Has anyone had an issue with the passenger /left (nearside in UK) front window refusing to close?
Every time I close it, it drops again to approx 1/2 way open. I try the full auto-close and it drops. If I edge it one small step at a time, it looks promising then drops again when it reaches the...
Looks great! Given the space in there you could even elaborate further and have a 3-tier system in place. Maybe you better copyright it before someone else's steals your idea!
It's definitely a game of hit & miss but I managed to get through the Test without having to lower/raise the car's capacity. I probably just caught it at the right time by sheer chance.
The good news (although confidence is not yet that high) is that Octopus charged it perfectly last night. I...
I'd consider adding g rear steering next time. The EV 4S isn't as manoeuvrable as my previous ICE Macan S in tight spaces.. such as UK multi storey car parks.
I saw this mentioned in another post on here but the passenger seatbelt issue can be resolved by pushing the clasp (the bit that goes into the car when someone sits there) to the top of the belt on the door pillar.
It holds in place and stops the rattle when there is no passenger. Works like a...
