Has anyone had an issue with the passenger /left (nearside in UK) front window refusing to close?

Every time I close it, it drops again to approx 1/2 way open. I try the full auto-close and it drops. If I edge it one small step at a time, it looks promising then drops again when it reaches the close point. It is very frustrating.

It’s below zero degrees here in UK so I wonder if this is temperature-related and the seal not working properly but … surely people in more northern climates would suffer this all the time? Also, it is just this one door. I have checked the seal for any foreign items and all looks clear.

I have tried resetting the window and no luck so far with that either.

Anyone have any ideas?? The list of niggles continues …

I had something similar once with the roof that kept opening. Drove the car for a minutes and it closed perfectly. It hasn’t happened anymore.

I had the same issue the other day it was -3 C and when I opened the door the window part opened and would not close. I scraped the ice and heated the car then it finally closed.

Not had any issues -yet! - sounds like the sensor is over sensitive and as you have tried needs resetting to the closed position - the recent uk cold weather is probably not helping, but you would hope there would be tolerances for this.
Otherwise may be another visit to workshop :(

It seems to have settled this morning is working (hopefully). Resetting the window didnt seem to have any effect so I simply had to edge it as close to closed as I could overnight.

this will happen when the window can't reach the level it's trying to go to. it think something is blocking the window...like a finger, so it opens back up...
I had this issue with my audi when i had to replace a motor, the pulleys were too tight...But if yours worked before, then it's simply binding or software...
if this happens again, try raising the window with the door open, so it's not rubbing on the seals

Yep - that was my assumption too. I didnt think of resetting with the door open and will try that if it happens again. Thanks

This is a relearning sequence you can go through if the window(s) aren't closing to the correct stop position (same on Taycan and any frameless door).

Yep - tried that at the time and it didn't work. All has been fine since however.
