@dnsacks we do have treadwear printed on tyres in Europe.
Each manufacturer does their own testing so you cannot compare between brands, but within the same brand:
~ 200 rating = performance tyre (soft/short life)
~400 rating = all seasons (middle)
~800 rating = touring tyre (hard/long life)
For...
Correct, by nearly 1%. Must be that stuck on spoiler😁
All Macans share the same battery so most of the consumption will come down to
- power
- wheels & tyres
- equipment (weight)
- driver
Yeah, I'd rather have my fun in my topless rwd manual NA flat 6 2-seater Porsche that's 1.1T lighter 😁 and use the 2.5T Macan SUV for more mundane tasks.
Sure you can destroy a brand new set of tyres in 5min if you are so inclined, that's besides the point.
Point is, driving a same size ICE...
Tesla -> open glovebox
Porsche -> sorry mate, been locked for the last couple of years, no one knows where the keys are (1 possibly in the glovebox)😁
meanwhile back in Porsche HQ during design
Engineer -> finally digital key implementation after 10 years
Marketing -> not so fast, you can work...
Thanks guys & gals for your input although not a single valid entry yet, several hypotheses:
1) Macan has so little tyre wear that deliveries in 2024 are still on the original set irrespective of mileage
2) Macan has so much tyre wear that anything over 30K km is a distant dream/science fiction...
Since you are a serial Porsche buyer I understand why you chose the Macan over the iX3 but curious if you checked the base Cayenne (since same price as GTS/already have 911/taycan, wife’s car) or is it just too big to consider?
When my tyres eventually wear out I will be looking for replacements.
If you got more than 35K km out of your summer tyres please state kms / tyre / rim size / macan model like:
35K / VENTUS S1 EVO3 EV / 20" / RWD
The winner(s) will be forever listed in the 1st post. :CWL:
In case of ties...
I got this 3 times after the update, did not get it before, annoying to say the least.
Gut feeling says update messed it up.
Problem is PCM reset does nothing to bring it back, have to stop, lock the car, walk away so the car sleeps, restart. Porsche "quality" is not what is used to be:CWL:
I...
Looking at the youtube video (link below) and attached pic it appears taycan brother has:
2 external speakers (1 front, 1 rear)
2 internal speakers (1 left rear, 1 right rear)
2 control units (1 for internal sound located left rear, 1 for external sound located right rear)
The front external...
I just had a look at my Macan.
You were right. It is exactly as you say.
I recommend this video from the Taycan as it appears at least from the outside and user comments to be near enough the same process.
Video also shows the exact same part number "Audi" filter for less than half the price of...
Porsche tax is nothing new, prices have always been eye watering.
Regarding wipers & filter I haven’t checked but if I had to guess:
1) Wipers same as all VAG, with the car running, switch it off, move wiper stalk immediately, wipers swipe to vertical position & stay there, swap with Bosch...
Looking at the link above removing the badge without opening the frunk would cause damage to the bonnet and the badge if you were to pry it.
I imagine who ever took it had access to the bonnet?
If the screws miraculously unthreaded themselves (say by vibration) as the screw head is under the...
Tons of reasons. Will list a couple.
You did not alternate between runs meaning first 2 runs used more energy because car was not at operating temp (battery, cabin, etc.,), driver through repetition keeps improving, driving becomes much smoother, learns environment, braking/turning points, has...
Impressive work by the thieves, could be easily deterred by 2018 tech like Sentry mode but sadly Porsche is more interested in seeing how much can they charge for crap like leather/painted vents.
