Does the sport SOUND play through the Bose or BM sounds system or a dedicated speaker

I get the sport sound (for a bit of fun) included in my GTS build (free) but trying to find out if its independent of the sound system I choose ie a dedicated speaker or the Bose or the better BM system? If the sound is played via the main sound system then the sports sound would benefit from the more powerful BM system (& I might consider upgrading to this). No one seems to know, not even my dealer lol. Thanks in advance

I believe it is an external speaker under the rear of the car. I have it and hear nothing through the speakers.

Thanks - good to know as I know it may have changed, my dealer is having it confirmed but they are waiting from upddate instructions from Germany.

Looking at the youtube video (link below) and attached pic it appears taycan brother has:
2 external speakers (1 front, 1 rear)
2 internal speakers (1 left rear, 1 right rear)
2 control units (1 for internal sound located left rear, 1 for external sound located right rear)

The front external loudspeaker is standard as this does the AVAS sound (pedestrian safety). If you want the sport sound you get the rest of the kit.
Still none the wiser if the sound system affects the sound, I mean if these are extra active speakers you can have any sound system, it will not make a difference to the sport sound.

If I had to bet, the sport sound is an independent system (4 active speakers/2 control units), Bose/BM does not make a difference. Well is does as Bose is crap, don't make the same mistake I did.



For Macan I have no idea as I do not have it (hate the fake sounds).

I would be much more for the sport sound if I could tune it myself, based on throttle/speed/steer/brake input signals.
I understand that there are Federal standards for the sound, but it's totally technically possible to verify that the "custom" sound would still conform to the Federal standards (they are objective based on signal content.)
But that would be thinking, like, three generations in front of where traditional auto manufacturers are right now ...

Not sure about the inside part. If I mute my stereo there is no change in what I hear when accelerating. Do you have a source indicating the stereo is involved? Thanks. Always like to learn.

Sport Sound doesn't add any speakers on the inside of the cabin, and there are no manual volume controls for it. The stereo volume doesn't affect the Sport Sound -- in fact you can have the stereo off and you will still get the Sport Sound.

I wonder how you know this and if there is any evidence of this. I think you are right, but the group here needs proof. Google says the same thing, but we need a source that would confirm this.
