Kyle on Out of Spec Dave channel: Mom's Macan 4 reveal

Standard Equipment on Macan 4 shows 11 kW AC rating (see below). I checked newsroom internal docs and they clearly state "11 kW Integrated Power Box (AC)" I will have a chance to drive one next week and will do a test at home where I have 48Amp output from Emporia EVSE charging my Taycan at...

    Macan 4 EV range

Impressive figures. This is a snippet from one of the Kyle's long runs in 2025 Taycan RWD.

Front windshield wipers with rain sensor

The terminology on the US Configurator is Standard Equipment and it differs from trim to trim. You get "all" of them listed there. Also, you can Print your Build that will include the list of Standard Equipment along with the Technical Data.

Before I order a 25 Macan 4S, please help with 2 questions re price and software

This sounds like and amazing deal as I have not heard of anyone giving away wheel/tire and maintenance packages away as they are expensive. For example, 20k/40k/60k Taycan maintenance package has been quoted at $4,675 and I paid $2,500 for a wheel and tire package. I guess it would not matter...

A Question For All Current, Future or Thinking About Becoming a Macan EV Owner

I feel bad for early adopters of the Macan EV and seeing this post of a Macan Turbo giving rotating set of critical errors is certainly unacceptable and should give anyone jumping on the first new train pause. This is a second EV product from Porsche, but it is built on a brand new platform and...

    Spoiler confusing me

I just know that in the Taycan when the spoiler extends automatically, there is no indication that it has been extended in the screens (exception is Range mode), if you are going by that, and not actually visually confirming that it has been extended. There is no way to visually confirm if it is...

    Raiti's Ride

His details are always wrong. He is just a lazy reviewer. His game is volume. For example, he reviewed the latest Taycan and kept pointing out that the front wheel vents are active, which they clearly are not, given that the automatic charge port is now standard on the facelifted 2025s, which...

    Spoiler confusing me

This is what the manual says but does not provide full logic under what speeds it extends or retracts in Range, Sport, Sport+ or Launch Control modes. For example, this is spoiler logic for Taycan that is much more complicated since it has 3 height levels when extended.

Standard Matrix vs US Spec HD Matrix Headlight Range

The only feature that I see of benefit in the HD Matrix would be the static cornering lights that illuminate into a turn. This function was supported by very cheap halogen bulbs in our 2016 Macan, so why they could not add that feature to the standard LED lights is not clear. Therefore, I would...

Standard Matrix vs US Spec HD Matrix Headlight Range

You are absolutely correct, so this is why I was careful to say that it is the "US spec of the Macan EV" that does not allow for full matrix functionality and not the US regulations, since we know others have them. My sources tell me that this will not be retroactive, meaning that whenever...

Standard Matrix vs US Spec HD Matrix Headlight Range

There is no way to tell until someone can actually get a spec for each or measure brightness. However, for the US, there are strict brightness regulations, as far as I know, so however bright one might be over the other, they must meet the brightness regulations, so I suspect that both are the...

    Singing at 65-70 mph

Interesting observation @ColdCase, so please drive another one to compare. I would not assume demos are setup properly, so checking tire pressure is important on the test drive. I know my dealer overinflates any vehicles that sit outside, even demos. Also, new tires that have not been properly...

    Storage Space Under Luggage Area

I agree, the post is useful. My point was that the charger is not the best if not the worst for home charging and very clunky for installation and use as a permanent home EVSE. You can have this mess: Or you can have this, with no sockets to overheat, copper wire tubes, or clunky charger...

    Storage Space Under Luggage Area

Good to know @SteveY. I struggle to understand, as others pointed out, the use case for having it in the car at all times with extra weight of no help either. My case is local driving, using top rated EVSE (Emporia) at home, several EA stations within 15-30 min, in addition to the dealer...

Dealer "options" (ceramic coating, UV window film, wheel warranty)

Dealers offer these for one stop convenience. Dealer Wheel and Tire packages are negotiable and can be competitive. I purchased them through the dealer since the claim process is more seamless when you have a tire nail or wheel damage. I would never let a Dealer handle Washing or Detailing on...

Porsche Macan EV Build Quality And Deep Dive! Not What We Expected...

Anyone actually had the time to watch this video and provide a summary of the findings. Kyle's videos run long all the time with helpful information but no clear structure.

This is the data on the differences between Power vs. Overboost Power (with LC): This is the explanation of Launch Control. Please refer to the manual on required conditions and how to engage it. Have fun!

    How is InnoDrive?

    Difference between rear wiper options?

+1 to this explanation. One is the real wiper add and second is just a clip-on trim in high gloss black to the rear wiper that must be optioned. Any wiper will have intermittent function since this is standard function.

Why is 4S 20K cheaper than the Turbo?

Turbo has significantly more performance, so that is what you are paying for after standard to the Turbo options are accounted for as @mkim90k outlined above. This is the data. The rear motor with 900Amp inverter generating 833 lb. ft. of torque has to be the most expensive part of the package.
