Is there an ability to turn off the "adaptive" part of cruise and just have traditional cruise control? Turned off lane keep assist.......

Thanks .

I have pondered this issue and I think the work around is to use the Limiter function. The way the Limiter works is that it limits top speed as traditional Cruise would be, but I have not tested it. One creative application of the Limiter function is going down a long hill road where the car would limit the speed of the decent automatically without having to constantly use the brake pedal to slow down. Try it out and let us know if it works for you.

Thanks SergeyIndy - I was reading about the limiter function and didn't fully understand it. Today I checked the box and adaptive cruise control unchecked itself and cruise control was no longer functional. I didn't have time to play so I just clicked the cruise control back on. I did this in the PCM. Need to understand it better than I do now.

Adaptive Cruise Control just prevents the car from rear-ending another vehicle in front of you that is going slower than your set speed. If that vehicle speeds up again, your car will also speed up, up to the speed you have set. There is no point in turning the ACC part of cruise control off.

If you have InnoDrive you also get Active Lane Keeping, where the car will remain centered in a marked lane. That is different from Lane Keep Assist, which prevents the car from crossing lane markings if you're not paying attention at the wheel.

Below, underside of the cc stalk is a small button that turns of the lane keeping. You have to hold it for a few seconds
