I’m interested in installing a Blackvue dashcam as well in my 4S. I was considering the DR970X 2-ch LTE Plus although I saw this recent video from CES 2025 mentioning that Blackvue is likely to release a new product line in April.
I want to view the camera remotely when parked for days at the...
The ones from Amazon which I mentioned above did require stretching to get the seams to fit together and included small pieces of double-sided tape to keep them in place.
Yes, I bought those exact ones on Amazon. It’s a very tight fit but they do work after stretching them a bit.
I only use one on the passenger side buckle and bought a sliding clip for the driver side seat belt from Porsche (similar to the one in the link below)...
I didn’t think Sport Chrono was necessary on the 4S but didn’t like the look of the blank dash, so I added the Compass option which includes a digital altimeter and clock. For a ridiculous up-charge, you can change the face of the compass (or chrono) to match your seat or seatbelt color.
That is a significant price difference. In the U.S. the 4S only cost me about $5000 more for comparable options. The OP said price wasn’t a major consideration for him so in that case I think it makes sense to get the 4S.
Even though it’s only a 1.1s difference, the 4S felt significantly more...
I’ve driven both models and definitely think the 4S is worth the wait given the significant difference in acceleration and nominal difference in price.
I too ordered my directly from Porsche. More expensive than Aliexpress but still half the cost of including it in my build. Looks great although note the original lights had a solid red bar showing from the side of the door whereas the new puddle lights have two red sections when illuminated...
@pearson1995, I have owned a 4S in Volcano Grey for the past two months and am very happy with the model and color. Here’s my configuration: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PS8BQQP9
Your configuration looks great overall. Here are a few thoughts although it ultimately comes down...
I’ve never had an issue charging my iPhone 15 Pro Max in the Macan’s wireless compartment with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit case.

My results at 810 miles are a bit worse than yours. Got my 4S around the same time — 20” S wheels, driving in similar temperatures. My recent 320 mi trip averaging 65-70 mph probably didn't help my stats…
Here are the software issues I’ve encountered during the first 400 miles of 4S ownership, all of which have gone away after locking the car and returning about ten minutes later:
1) Assistance Systems Limited (with 6 other related warnings)
2) Right charging port impaired
3) No sound from Bose...
None of my Bose speakers were working using any media when I got in my car to drive home today. Tried to make a tighter connection on the Bose plug under the trunk but still didn’t work. Locked the car and when I returned about 10 minutes later the speakers were working.
I didn’t reboot the PCM...
I don’t have the exact date but I believe the changeover for the MY 2025 Macan EV was in mid October 2024. My 2025 4S was in one of the first US allocation batches to be produced and it completed manufacturing on October 24th.
Thanks, Diego! It’s not always clear where to navigate within the online manual.
This page confirms Kal-El’s response that this symbol appears at startup until the Hazard and Brake Assist system is initialized.
I frequently have this warning light appear when I turn on my 4S (see photos below). It usually goes away after a minute or two but occasionally stays lit while driving.
What does this symbol mean (since I couldn’t find it in the manual)? Does anyone else have this warning light illuminated?
I don’t mind the charging compartment but It would be great if the Macan had a warning that the phone has been left there when exiting the vehicle instead of the useless Goodbye screen.
