The Curt 57004 and C35FR is the same model and is needed if you plan to connect any lights which have a 4-pin (or 5-pin) connector since the Porsche has a 7-pin socket. I would recommend this adapter instead of the Pollak 12-716 4-pin adapter mentioned above since it is not “LED compatible”...

I have periodically received these warnings as well over the past six months, however these warnings usually disappear after restarting the Macan. Unfortunately, the new software update installed last month did not resolve the issue.

Anyone find a solution to this issue? I put a bike rack on my Macan 4S for the first time. As the OP mentioned, the parking sensor silence button is grayed out when driving in reverse so I had no way to stop the annoying beep.

A much more useful message would be “you’ve left your phone in the charging cubby”!
