I'll willing to be this can be adjusted as a regional setting via PWIIS - but it would take time to find the setting and such - but I'm guessing this doesn't even require a software update - just a parameter adjustment on one of vehicle's "codes" - like unlocking matrix headlights…
but we'll...
thank you thank you thank you!!! this is extremely useful!!! it proves the that some Macan 's can exceeed 9.5 kW!!
also it indicates the Macan reports close to "raw" input power - not the charge rate after losses (like the Taycan).
sooo useful - thank you for taking the time.
I'm hoping to make it Porsche's problem - I'm going to visit service shop on Monday so they can document/record it doesn't charge above 9.6 kW on their 19.2 kW Porsche Wall Charger - once we have that they can escalate for Porsche to be confused and ignore it.
if you're getting more than 9.6 - please update this thread with your Macan model, your region, and the EV Charger (EVSE) you're using - thanks!
and a screen shot from inside the car showing more than 9.6 kW :)
this links seems to list "magicDock" sites - I'm not 100% certain - but it "fits' the facts where I know there are magicdock sites…

not clear - even with the car "locked" I'm able to open the ports via the PCM screen while in the drivers seat with the car "locked" - the 2nd time I went to the pull-in car pash - I did not put the car in "park" but rather "brake hold" - and the ports remained closed during the entire car wash…...
adapters are available - the issue remains "authorization" - you can only use Superchargers where your vehicle is "authorized" and at the moment Porsche's are only allowed at MagicDock sites where all CCS vehicle's are "authorized" - MagicDock provides the "adatper" as part of the stall at the...
I never had any issues with the electric ports on my Tesla or Taycan - the issue I had was not only did the ports open but _BOTH_ ports were open - that should not be possible!
question: was your car wash "stationary" car wash - where you pull the car in - stop - and the wash moves around the vehicle?
or a rolling car wash - you put vehicle in neutral and the car moves "through" the car wash rolling along a trail
in my case it was a stationary cash wash - car was...
three new issues:
it appears North American Macan's are capped at 40 amp charge rate - vs the 11 kW we're promised in specifications (48 amps) - why is porsche capping the charge rate at 9.6 kW or less? Is it hardware or software limit - and will it be relaxed/unlocked with a future update to...
there are two specffication the one you're quoting and the "standard equipment" link in the configurator…
here is the current "specs" from the "build your porsche" - standard equipment link on https://configurator.porsche.com/en-US/model/XABAA1/standard-equipment - this link and screen shot...
This is big news - up until now I believe we all assumed Macan would be limited to 150 kW @ North American superchargers!!! But the report above indicates a 225 kW charge rate…
This means one of two things!
Macan can support 250 kW charge rate @ 400V FastDC stations like superchargers!!
the...
also you might've gotten lucky - I see supercharger's "listed" in PCM Navigation - but most of them are not Magicdock sites…I wonder if Porsche Nav actually "knows" the difference…
but 225 kW @ supercharger - that's new and breaking information!!!
