Jealous of what exactly?
Sales in the UK have been lacklustre, the high cost and lease rates (due to poor residual values) are the big factors here, plus people don't seem too bothered by the new Macan.
It does well in test-drives but not translating to sales.
Almost.
im looking forward to my current shitbox iX3 going back so I can then (potentially) choose which EV to get next.
Once the iX3 goes, Iāll get a diesel or maybe a PHEV and see what is there that I like in the EV market - Cayenne, iX5 for example.
if nothing, then Iāll keep the diesel lease.
Get that, but it (Macan at least) looks like crap.
For a number of reasons, Iāve not yet decided if I want the Macan and I have the time to wait and see what to do.
Ouch!
I didnāt know the detail, just heard about it. Personally Iād avoid it anyway as donāt trust Porsche to have this work reliably and/or when it breaks it will be a bitch to repair!
The new Taycans have a capability to raise the car height when getting in/out but itās not free of course!
Still, there are plenty of other reasons to skip the Taycan.
Iām really trying to like the rear of the car.
Currently Iām on āthe front of the iX, in a dark colourā is nicer than the back of the Macan EV.
Is there a way to reduce HUD (and centre console) brightness - I often drive on unlit motorways/major roads and can make the displays dimmer on my BMW.
Not good for keeping night vision if you have a big bright display and itās tiring to have a bright display in your line of sight.
My iX3 does the same, perhaps the power used can only from the battery and not the charger direct.
My BMW does charge though during the heating/pre-conditioning.
The more I read on this forum, the more I am glad I donāt need to order a replacement car just yet.
I really want the Macan, hopefully the ā26 models will have all this shite fixed.
Iām more concerned about it being stuck for ice or some other failure.
Not keen on taking a screwdriver to it and potential damage to the paintwork when you are applying force blindly.
Fine if the service guys do it, they can pay for any damage!
