no I've not noticed anything along those linesDoes the HUD do vehicle blind spot detection?
the arrows are only for driving instruction with a destination entered into the PCM navigationDoes Augmented Reality works with PCM navigation at any place in the world? I mean, the dynamic arrows detect the right turn or exit in front of the car just with the cameras independently of the maps of country or place where the car is?
I don’t know if this feature would work in my country, and SA has no idea!
Dave, my 4S does have this with the AR Hud, maybe its a setting or view that you choose that dictates this visualisation?no I've not noticed anything along those lines
the only blind spot detection I've notices is:
- 3 lights in the side view mirrors
- if "enabled" the ambient light strips on the doors will illuminate for blind spot detection (wife love this feature)
Does the HUD have this distance display like in the attachment. Saw it was shown for the Audi.
I’m finding the blank part of the heads up display is not black enough, so when driving on a dark road you see an illuminated box on the windscreen. This makes it quite hard to see the road. It works fine when there is more light. It’s a shame there isn’t a contrast setting or a shadows setting for the HUD. I’m wondering if there’s a film I could stick over the HUD screen to drop the screen brightness even more. The brightness setting isn’t enough!I got my new Macan 4 earlier this week and optioned the Augmented Reality HUD. To be truthful for short journeys where I know where I'm going I find it unnecessary and quite distracting, especially when driving in the dark. I've turned it off for now but for journeys where I need route guidance I think it would be very useful.
yes both can be adjusted - please see your user manual. Is there a way to reduce HUD (and centre console) brightness - I often drive on unlit motorways/major roads and can make the displays dimmer on my BMW.
Not good for keeping night vision if you have a big bright display and it’s tiring to have a bright display in your line of sight.
Haven’t ordered the car yet (and still may not), but checking to see if small features like this that make a difference are there.yes both can be adjusted - please see your user manual.
