You should have activated the “submarine setting” first!

Is it recommended to place a windshield protection film (Clearplex) or does it interfere with the camera and/or sensors? I had a small rock hit the windshield on the highway and it caused a tiny chip in the glass. I have the thermally and noise insulated windshield.
