Fair enough. My tone was too sharp and was misdirected irritation over other non-owner posters' imagined gripes elsewhere on this forum. So, @cometguy, I apologize for the tone of my prior comment. Now, in terms of @cometguy's gripes specifically, I think that owning the vehicle is a key part of...
I'd heard that they discontinued Papaya, which I thought unfortunate. Glad to see you were able to order one in that color (or, I should say, colour, since you're Bri-ish)
FWIW, the swipe to open works flawlessly on my frunk. The kick to open on the rear hatch is less reliable/harder to engage.
I've had no trouble with the park button - I do have to push it firmly, but I hear/feel a click (and see P light up on the screen) when it engages.
My main 'gripes' are...
I think the ability to require the code is there in order to protect your data, for example when valet parking. But, as others have indicated, it can be turned off - I turned it on (inadvertently) and then back off again shortly after it was delivered to me, but like others, I'm not remembering...
The jury is still out for me. Sometimes I like the sport sound, and sometimes I turn it off. If I'm driving hard/having fun, I probably would tend to say I like it on. That said, even when commuting, I tend to keep the car in sport or sport plus 90% of the time, which (as I have it set up)...
I think the hold function solves the problem without the need for a separate fix - it is really easy to engage (just push the brake firmly when at a stop). Is the concern that any creep ever is inherently problematic? Granted, I've been driving ICE vehicles until now, and every automatic creeps...
So . . . tuckvisor is the best solution we've come up with. Got it/thanks Argelius! FWIW, I have reached out to my SA about this, and he's promised to pass this on to Porsche through his "portal" (whatever that means).
And, setting aside the DIY solution angle, I guess I'm interested in...
Thanks - I had not seen the more recent posts to that thread. My 3D printing skills are n/a, so I had abandoned reading that one a while back. The Alibaba linked solution at the end is certainly an option, but . . . not necessarily what I want to install on my new Porsche if it can be helped.
I think it is safe to say that, whatever our other disagreements on finer points, pretty much universally Macan EV owners agree that the driver's and passenger's tiny, non-extending sun visors are among this car's most glaring/absurd/almost-comical design flaws. (I say this as someone who...
My experience has generally been consistent with yours, Seabird. When I asked my SA about the update that has been a hot topic on other threads in this forum, he intimated that it may have something to do with frame rate - which I think is an area whereI agree the camera is clunky. But in terms...
In what sense do you think that badge 'matches' the exterior foil? It's not even the same font! Like, are you messing with us? If you are, bravo. Very sly.
I like RAS because it is just so cool/impressive in what it adds to the feel of the car, even as a daily driver. That is why I rate it as my number one most desirable option. Is it necessary? Absolutely not. Do I love it? Hell yes!
