It's less about the EV and more about how electricity is generated in your area to fuel the EV. If from water, solar, wind, nuclear then you are not adding additional carbon dioxide. If from carbon based fuels you are still part of the problem.

Follow the money. Whenever anyone promotes something, ask who provides their funding and who won't they take money from. There's always an agenda and some are better than others.

Just my opinion, but I think slower speed chargers scattered around malls and restaurants aren't going to cut it in the long run. I think strategically placed fast DC chargers by companies dedicated to the business plus home charging covers most cases. Plus slower chargers at hotels/motels...
