Ever since I got my car back from the dealer (who put the car into privacy mode)
my car has had issues with plug & charge. i have the connect services ON, but when I try to toggle plug & charge ON, it says "authentication failed. activate connect services"

Now I really don't want to bring the car back for this.. last time they kept my car for 11 weeks. When i charge the car, i have to use the app and click begin charging. Id rather do this than bring the car back to the dealer.

Anyone else have tips to get the connect services back working? Everything else from the app works... I signed out and signed back in but it didnt make any difference except i had to toggle the connect services ON.

This is a common issue. If you search Plug and Charge in the forum you’ll find detailed instructions. But basically you have to a) make sure your My Porsche app is up to date, b) do a factory reset while you have a clean Verizon signal (car uses their network), give it some time to register with the network, sign back into the car, install the digital certificate in the app, and wait even more. You could take it to the dealer, but then they will need your phone and Porsche login to make it work. It’s a pain in the _ss. Porsche needs to clean this up.
