Coloured seat inserts

In my GTS build https://porsche-code.com/PTIWTC58 Im looking at black contrasting seat inserts as it might help hide wear and I think it looks good. My exterior is Aventurine Green and the rest of the extended leather is Black/Crayon. What do peole think and any owners out there with the contrasting seat centres? Thanks

I understand you like it but it looks like a very expensive cosmetic only option with no gain. I always option dual color light interiors and there is no issue with the middle part being impacted due to color. The bolsters are the ones that get impacted. Then Black leather looks much lower quality overall (in Taycan/Macan vs. say Panamera), so I think you will be disappointed.

I would rather spend on the BM audio (and drop HUD) as Bose is about as good as FM radio in the Macan EV.

Interesting, thanks. Im on the fence and new to the Macan as coming from a 2023 Panamera 4s E-hybrid. I got mixed feedback on the BM audio as not really an audiophile and always been happy with Bose in my Pany and past BMWs. Always liked the HUD even if its just to show speed limits but now the 2026 software shows the carpplay navigation - all my previous cars showed the proprietary software that i didnt think anyone used. Thanks for the heads up (no pun intended) and will think hard about it as its only a £900 option. Thats the beauty of these forums.

Looks like you are new if you have not listened to the Bose in Macan EV - total let down and absolute worst quality. I agree that Bose is very good in Panamera, Cayenne, and Taycan, but for some reason they went lowest bar quality on Macan EV. I drove at least 5 different ones and all had Bose and all sounded terrible. That is why on my GTS order I did not plan to go for BM as I am happy with it in my 2020 Cayenne and 2024 Macan ICE, but it is a non-starter in Macan EV.

HUD - I understand the value to you. I prioritized BM audio over it.
Seat Centers - US cost is about $5k so definitely a non-starter but looks like a good value in the UK for much lower cost.
Race-tex Roof Lining - I just noticed that you are not getting that, well, again, I would rather spend on that than the seat centers, as standard fabric is pretty basic.

Thanks, ill investigate as always find audio a very subjective thing. I did opt to include and my dealer said that unless I'm really into my music he said i wouldnt notice lol. Im going in before locking down the spec on the 13th to check a few things and will make a point of lisetning to the 2 versions carefully.

Recommend bringing a flash drive with some music and then listen to at least an HD Radio station if you can and then try to make Bass/Treble adjustments across low and mid volume. No good for any music listening and even talk shows could be just mud.

The other thing that just occurred to me, that GTS comes with Sport Sound standard, so if you care to listen to that, I am pretty sure that sound goes through the same speakers, vs. say in early Taycans Sport Sound was channeled through a dedicated speaker. I like the Sport Sound on occasion especially with passengers, so there is no way in h*** I am listening to it through a Bose speaker.

Thanks, will check that too as did ask the rep about if it went through the speakers and he seemed to think it didnt. I also like the idea of the sport sound and a beefy base would be much better.

To make the point again, the Dealer is not wrong if you would be buying any other model, but this rehearsed response does not apply to Macan EV.

Race-tex Roof Lining is a historically standard equipment on a Turbo and above trims, but for GTS while Race-tex is the intended theme, they do not include the Roof Lining in Race-tex as standard equipment. Also, at least in the US that comes with Race-tex Sunvisors.

I agree. I color mine always in the lightest color of the dual tone. Again, the plain black look and feel very basic, as they are the lowest cost.

I almost speced black inserts for my black/limestone interior. I think they look cool and wonder if I should have. I did option covering the plastic center console surround in leather.

This is a separate item from extended leather interior option. This is the center console surround in leather and extra cost and can also be in Race-tex for the same cost.
