Cross traffic warning is silent - Macan 4S

I have a brand new 2025 Macan 4S EV. When backing out of my driveway (or anywhere), I see the visual warning for approaching cross traffic, but I hear nothing. I've tried resetting the computer, but still silent. Is there some setting I'm missing? I even tried turning up the volume wihle it was showing me the warning, but it was no help.

I assume it's suppoes to beep or something, right?

Do any of you hear any type of alert when backing out of a parking spot when there is crossing traffic? Is it visual only?

I'd like to say that mine makes a noise, but only because I know it gets my attention, but I can't be 100% sure.

I can now confirm that the cross traffic alert on my 2025 Macan makes a noise, but only if you are actively backing and about to collide with cross traffic.

I pulled into an entry lane for a parking lot that is usually open after working hours, but discovered that the gate is now still down and will not rise when I approach. So, I put it in reverse, check the camera and look over my shoulder. However, I missed a car, maybe behind one of the bushes edging the parking lot.

As I eased off the brake to start backing, the Porsche beeped loudly so I slammed on the brake. Looked back down at the rear view camera to see the red arrows now on and a car fly by.

There is a sound when it is most needed.

Yesterday I heard a brief beep as I started to pulling out of the driveway as a large truck in the distance was bearing down on me. Wonder if front cross path is also provided.

I usually don’t find myself in a position where cross traffic alerts are useful, but yesterday I parked in front of the garage at a friend’s house, and when reversing out the cross traffic alert came on, including an audible alert.

The view of the street to my left was blocked by large construction equipment parked in front of the neighboring property, and I would not have been able to see traffic until the back of the car extended into the street.

So thumbs up for the cross traffic alert, and it did include a visual alert from the communications light and an audible alert.
