Can anyone help clarify the 7500.00 federal tax credit? My understanding was the new EV Macans did not qualify due to MSRP being higher than the 80K qualifier for SUVs, light trucks, etc….?

The personal tax rebate rules apply to personal vehicles. Manufacturers still get the credit on LEASED vehicles, and they pass it along to the customer. It is not possible to get a personal Federal tax rebate for any electric Porsche.

Porsche gets 7500 of tax rebate for every new electric Macan they lease, for now. This will likely end sometime Q1 of next year, although it's possible even Porsche will be forced to introduce some sort of rebate to compensate (although likely less than 7500).
