The UK app does not notify or confirm whether the alarm is set or activated. You have to subscribe to the Vodafone / Porsche or other security system companies to be notified of an alarm activation - these systems are always on unless you deliberately

turn them off.
The App confirms The following -

Think the question is whether the app shows when the alarm is triggered by an event, and not whether it is on or off. Alarm is always on when vehicle is locked.

Location alarms are for setting an alarm when the vehicle enters or leaves a specific location.
This is not active for me as I didn't set anything up.

The other tab "Car" under functions/alarms will show each time the alarm has been triggered.

The iOS notification will show a popup when the alarm is triggered if you have activated alerts on lock screen or notification center for the My Porsche app.

thanks stephane, understood concerning the location and car tabs… here’s my ios notifications config for the my porsche app and the alarm car tab from the my porsche app. the car tab shows no alarms for the last two weeks even though i’ve had several. that being said, the alarms were random and disabled the car. had to have it towed and a software update was installed. perhaps the history was deleted. i’ll test as soon as i can and provide an update. thanks again for your help!

UPDATE: tested setting off the alarm by pressing the panic button. i did get a push notification indicating the alarm system went off so… either my previously described alarm problem corrected by a software update fixed it or i had something configured wrong in any case, thanks to all who responded for their input/help!
