As I recall, this is basically the i3 platform with a mini body?

Yes. Same motor as the i3. Same motor as the i3’s predecessor, the ActiveE. Smaller battery pack than the current i3 to allow it to be fitted into the small 2-dr Mini chassis while still retaining rear seats (debatable!) and cargo. The batteries form a T, filling the space under the center console and under the back seats.

In any case, the rear seats fold down and there’s lots of cargo area to carry cats, dogs, bags of fertilizer, small trees, and paving stones. Or boxes of gold after bank heists.

Enjoy! Its cousin (the i3 BEV) is my daily driver, and I've been quite happy with it. Range is limited such that it's most definitely not a road trip car, but living with it has convinced me that not every EV needs to be a road trip monster with 400 mile range.

I’ve probably said too much. You didn’t really believe I drove all the way around the country just for fun, did you?!?
Now I’ve definitely said too much.

Ok, fine... go watch “The Italian Job”.

Yes pal It has a 24kw battery that claims +50m of range (I am getting about 45m) its a great car, i ordered an Audi Etron in Dec and although it was built in Feb it still hasn't arrived so i got fed up with waiting and got the X5 instead as a mate had a cancelation
in the UK there is currently a 6 month lead time on the X5 as they are made in USA

i’m also not sure i was ready for two EVs so the Hybrid gives me far better flexibility when on long journeys

Maybe. But not in winter. Although, the TransCanada Highway has better charging than the US.
