Is NTX to Aspen do-able? How much of a pain is it to find chargers along the way?

My family and I frequently make the road trip up to Colorado. I would love to take the trip in my 4S after it arrives in March (hopefully). Has anyone got experience making the trek from Texas to Colorado? Any tips?

I live in CO. Once you get north of Walsenburg, CO, you should have no problems finding charging infrastructure. Check EA’s website for specific locations. When you do receive the car, program the Nav to take you to Aspen and the software should program a route for you that includes all necessary charging stops.

I don't have a Macan EV yet, but my wife and I have driven EVs since 2019, and we've found A Better Route Planner (https://abetterrouteplanner.com) is a really good online tool. It allows you to do a sanity check of whether a particular route is possible in a particular brand of vehicle.

The Dallas-to-Denver route used to be notorious, even for a Tesla, because of the distance between chargers and the elevation gain. However, I just checked in ABRP for a Macan 4 (the variant I'm planning to order), and it looks doable now. It says it requires a really deep charge in Amarillo, and then low state-of-charge arrival in Des Moines, NM. It should be an exciting drive.

Here's the plan ABRP gave me,

You should definitely double-check this route by specifying a 4S. Also, investigate each of its suggested charging stops by using https://www.plugshare.com
