To be fair they’re totally fixable bugs, by way of both cars do it…. just the way they all are, I guess.

Similar issues here, other than loss of sound, even with the majority of the systems turned down to minimum sensitivity. I've had mine since November and there's been no sign of any solutions from Porsche for what are well known issues to UK market cars.

If I'd have had as many near collisions as the car pings to warn me about, I really shouldn't be allowed on the roads lol

My Turbo is my company car from my husband's business and I've already told my beloved that I'll be going back to some variant of an Audi etron in 3 years as things stand, as I can't justify him spending Turbo amounts of money on a car that I can't even use the cruise control properly on - cruise control that cost a decent amount extra for traffic sign recognition that has never worked.

The cars got good build quality, they're nice and fun drive, but thwarted by all these issues, which makes living with it/them damn irritating (in the UK anyway).

... Surely if we can club together somehow we can "try" and get Porsche to make some necessary changes?

It's a shame, as otherwise decent cars.

Lane keep assist is horrid in all modern cars, not just Porsches. Unlike with many other cars, however, it can be switched off with a single button push in a Macan.

Active Lane Keeping works well in the Macan. In my experience it's superior to Tesla's Autopilot mainly because it does not exhibit the Tesla habit of phantom braking. In this last regard, I never set any car to adjust its cruise controlled speed to automatically change with posted speed limits because, in my experience, even the best of these systems have a relatively high failure rate (Porsche's is worse than most) and I consider that it's my job as a driver to be aware of speed limits and to adjust my speed accordingly.

While I agree that they should be held accountable, I am surprised about all these issues you experience with BOTH of your vehicles.
Of that list, the only issue I have in common with you is the "no sound" when driving and I have narrowed that down to being repeatable in one particular set of circumstances which accounts for about 80% of the time it has happened to me (which is still not all that often), so it is easy enough to avoid until they do release an OTA fix of some sort.
Sounds like you really need to take both your cars back in though...
I’m driving an Audi Q6 Prestige and have the sound problem in my car. This is widespread on the Q6. I’m intrigued that you have figured out a pattern. Mine may be associated with home charging but it’s intermittent and this is a loose connection if any. They claim it’s being worked.

Since our vehicles share a platform (I’ve no idea about the software though) I joined this forum to see if some of the same issues pop up. What kind of pattern have you noticed?

I can make it routinely happen if I am using my phone when I get into the car. If I start this way, I cannot get audio from the car after the phone call ends (it will often go away while still on the phone) without restarting it. It seems if the handoff from phone to car occurs before the PCM has fully initialized, the audio is borked.
I am not sure if that helps you at all but that is the situation that it occurs routinely with me. I am using an iPhone 15 on iOS 18.4 (now 18.5 beta).

Thanks for your reply. That’s different because I can’t remember having a call going when I enter the car. I have an iPhone 16 with 18.3.2. It’s setup as a digital key but I always have the fob in the car so I don’t think the phone activates the car (not sure) but it does run CarPlay. Mine seems to happen most often on return trips home after a short (20 min.) trip, park and leave the car for 30-90 mins then no sound on the way home. Next trip is fine. Probably nothing to do with home charging. I am just looking for a correlation with something.

No problem. Definitely sounds different, I can even make it make sense in my instance, sort of. lol.

This might be silly, but have you tried adjusting the volume with the knob on the climate panel when this happens? I've had silence even when media app shows music playing about once a week, but it always kicks back in with just turning the volume dial one click. Some sort of phantom mute in my case, not an actual audio crash.

AAOS has lots of weird limitations and quirks with audio, and I think with everyone going to infotainment OSes instead of actual bespoke audio processing, it's making everyone's B&O/BW/HK/Bose/Sonos/whatever upgrades all kind of sound the same. But that's a different topic...

Yes, I have - makes no difference...
... The no sound issue happens to me when I've been on a journey, stop to grab a drink (like 2 minutes), then continue on my journey... In silience LOL.
