My car has been privacy mode for 2 months now with no solution in sight. Even writing to Porsche UK top management hasn't helped. They are supposedly waiting for this all-curing software upgrade which will resolve issues, so I am being told
I’m having the same issue with connectivity. Despite my data pass being valid, the vehicle is unable to connect to connect services. I can’t even log into my profile because I can’t even connect to WiFi as that’s not even an option in the connections menu. We tried PCM reset, dealership also performed a manual reset. The connect services option is also greyed out, can’t turn it on. But on my display, the 5G icon is on with a blue light and the SOS light above is also lit green. This isn’t even the only “software” problem I’ve had with my vehicle, so many other issues that Porsche can’t figure out, and thus blame it on software. Because there are no active errors during diagnostics. I have a feeling their so called diagnostics tests are not good enough to pick up hardware errors. It’s just like any computer. Hardware errors don’t always come with error codes. If it fails completely, it just stops working. And only way you can figure out if that part is defective is by replacing it and see if it starts working again. But they don’t even have an engineer on site at the dealership, so they have to start a ticket to get an engineer onboard to help diagnose. It’s a long and tedious process.

Yes Lukine - you seem to have a similar problem as mine. While I can still charge and drive it, it's a big inconvenience with no resolution in sight

I had an extensive conversation with ChatGTP about this poll. This is ChatGTP5. It's been about a year since I've used ChatGTP. First, I have to say, I am absolutely blown away by ChatGTP's ability to understand what I am asking, even to make suggestions about how to present information back to the forum. It's almost frightening to me the extent to which ChatGTP acts like an intelligent conversational partner, in terms of its ability to understand complex questions, analyze data, and come back with useful analysis. I am actually a bit in shock about the progress that has been made in this public-facing AI interface. (Especially scary to me was some evidence of the program trying to stroke my ego. Why would it do that?)

That said, the analysis of the data here (such as it is) suggests two things. First, as you might expect, the over all number of problems reported increases with the age of the car (ChatGTP says at about the rate of 3% per month). The most important takeaway though, based on what ChatGTP says, is that the baseline rate of serious problems has improved in newer cars (specifically 2025 vs 2024 deliveries).

Here is how ChatGPT suggested I report back the analysis to the forum (note that ChatGPT is actually making an assumption here about software vs hardware (which I did not initiate, at least not directly), but it's still interesting to me) (The section between the lines is copied and pasted from ChatGPT's output):

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Interpretation
  • Older cars → more problems.
Each additional month of ownership increases the share of owners reporting serious software issues by roughly 3 percentage points.
  • Newer builds → fewer serious problems.
2025 deliveries show far fewer serious issues than 2024s, suggesting that Porsche has been improving the software over time.
  • Minor glitches persist.
Across all groups, 70–80 % of owners still report some small annoyances even when serious problems are rare.
⚙ Takeaways
  • Early builds (esp. 2024) likely shipped with less-stable software.
  • Ongoing updates and later-production software appear to reduce serious issues.
  • Time still matters — even improved cars accumulate minor bugs as owners use them longer.
Note: This is an independent analysis based solely on publicly visible poll data (n ≈ 117). It’s not an official Porsche statement — just an attempt to interpret what the community’s data may suggest.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(ChatGPT provided charts and graphs which are consistent with the Interpretation and Takeaways above).
