I just talked to my SA concerning the possibility to add the "Remote Park Assist" option which apparently will be soon become available for the Macan.My order locked 1 month ago and my 4S enters production early September.I've already included in my order the 360° surround view with park assist and active parking support.He told me that beyond locking date absolutely no further additions can be made, however I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that if the additional request doesn't messing up the rest of the build and there's plenty of time available until the car enters production there's a great possibility Porsche to finally approve the request and include it in the order.
In my case all relevant hardware are already included anyway and in fact the only changes will be on the software side of things which will be performed once the production will be completed.
Has anyone have asked for an additional option beyond the locking date and how it went?It was rejected or accepted?I suspect the dealership tends to refuse trying to ask from Porsche if such a request would be possible to be fulfilled only to avoid the hassle of re-calculating prices and stuf and re-issue new documents which must be again signed by both parties and so on.The SA told me that there's a great chance this option could be easily added by them after delivery since it will be only a matter of software changes by purchasing it separately from Porsche through FOD (Function on Demand) procedure however in the Taycan forums they say the Remote Parking Assist option can't be added this way since it's not offered anymore as a FOD option.
