I saw this thread a couple of times before. I’m glad it’s taking off a little more now. Really interesting seeing what all people are into.
I won’t list everything, but my main hobby is probably playing music. Guitar and drums mostly. I was in local rock and punk bands for a little over 10 years but had to stop because I just couldn’t keep up with it time-wise anymore. Writing songs, practicing, scheduling shows, promoting, playing live, recoding…it’s like a full time job that costs money ?.
Just for fun at home now. I’ve been wanting to record an acoustic album for a few years, but it’s hard to find time.
I’m fairly young, so one of my hobbies involves playing counter-strike multiple nights a week, which I’ve been playing since I became a teenager back in 1998.
I also do strength training and pointless engineering projects (I’m a software writing consultant) as well as hiking /skiing.
Deep Ocean Shipwreck Diving with a Rebreather and Long-Distance Precision shooting/hunting and Guitar. My "we have so much in common" list of friends is not that long
I always hated sport but pandemics made me change my mind. I decided to improve my health so started running every morning. Also, I go to the gym when having spare time, approximately 3-4 times a week. By the way guys, how do you boost the immunity system? What vitamins do you take and where to find a reliable online pharmacy? Thanks in advance.
A number of things, but mainly gym, calisthenics, cycling (though not at the moment) and I've recently got quite into hiking, which is why - with my 15 month wait for a GTS ST - I'm leaving for Cape Town next month to live and work there for two months.
Looking forward to the outdoor activities at the weekends. Don't ask me about the hire car I've booked. It's South Africa. I do not want attention, even if I will look like an Uber ride.
Lived and worked in Madeira for three months up until middle of last month. Loved it.
Also spent 10 days in Azores, which I might head to for a month after Cape Town - for the hiking (and the untapped beautiful women, though that is not a hobby, it's a tough job with a lot of disappointment. For them.)
Such a fun post! I'm a former fitness competitor, so love being active.. climbing, hiking, sports, etc. And I also have 7 kids, so - that's a hobby in itself!
