Park button not registering park? Anyone?

Tried it on a brand new demo Macan Turbo. Same issue. Is it possibly meant to work like that. So not to put the car in park by mistake?!

I have had this issue where I press park and hear the confirming click but without the car actually moving into park mode occur multiple times from both drive and reverse. I have had to press the park button up to 5 times to get the car to actually shift into park, though usually it’s only one or two extra button pushes. I too have learned to watch the screen rather than rely on the button working. I have also had issues with the charging port not opening at all (twice, and in both cases the passenger side charge port opened), with the driver’s door not opening fully (partial opening on the first handle pull, full open on second attempt) many times, and the trunk not opening from the key fob button or manual handle on the trunk. The service centre agent didn’t seem concerned even though I flagged the park issue as a potential safety issue. I learned on my service centre visit (to change from winter to summer tires) that there was a recall for the rear camera setup and a software upgrade (two days required for the software upgrade I’m told, so I’ll get a loaner car). Hopefully this will fix most or all of the issues.
