Passenger mirror keeps moving position

Hi All,

I have the passenger side mirror tilt to help with reverse parking - however I have noticed it doesn't always reset back to the driving position.

Number of times I've wondered why the passenger mirror is pointing too high, seems to happen after I reverse and parked, then on the next drive the passenger window is off.

I've had to either manually adjust it back or I've found today that I need to press the memory seat button that it was set to reset it.
Anyone noticed this or is there a fix?

Interestingly, I’ve had the same issue intermittently with the drivers side mirror. Essentially identical. It has not occurred in a few weeks and I would say it has only occurred after the mirrors were folded in for some reason (so I’ve stopped doing that at all).

UK based so your drivers is our passenger, maybe same issue - endless little issues....

I've had the same issue a few times. I'm now wondering if it only occurs when I've reversed then turned the car off to put it into park, rather than putting it into park then exiting the vehicle to turn the car off, which would make sense I guess as the car hasn't had a standard prompt to say reversing has finished (so put the mirror back up) before it all gets shut down. Hmmm - I'll have to test it out and post my findings!

Let us know how your testing goes, I found my mirror was pointing up towards the sky, whereas I thought it would be pointing too low if it was the parking not had time to re-adjust.

Unless it thinks your normal is actually the dipped position, so then over compensates because it moves it up?

Possibly the system is fooled into thinking it needs to be in a different position. Guess I could turn the mirror function off but it does help when reversing and watching those kerbs and alloys...
