Preconditioning settings?

Hi All,

Can any one advise on the different pre-conditioning settings.
There is a extra "remote climate control" setting - if "off", does this mean only the battery conditions ready for departure, whereas if I set "on" for remote climate control it will also heat the cabin to desired temperature too?
If so is this some energy conservation option so as not to discharge the battery?

it's only for the cabin temp afaik. The battery is only preconditioned if you set for a charging station in the nav.
