My driver and passenger front loudspeakers have gone bad again (buzzing and vibration at bass). Porsche dealership replaced them at no charge two years after I purchased the Macan as they were still under warranty. The driver side speaker has gone bad again and the dealership told me they cannot replace it under warranty. Here is the cost I was quoted to replace the single loudspeaker.
Part - $517.55
Labor - $400.00
Tax - $41.40
Total - $958.95
Considering the fact that the passenger speaker will likely go bad too, that would be nearly $2000 to replace both speakers. If the speakers go bad every three years or so, doesn't seem like a good idea to have them replaced by the dealership.
I was able to get the part number (992035454A) and was able to find the part online at Pelican Parts for $136.04. I was also able to find YouTube instructions on how to replace the speaker ourselves. Here is the link to that YouTube.
I'm posting this for awareness but also to see whether anyone has had the same issue and has replaced the loudspeaker themselves.
