I posted this in a reply to a thread related to a similar issue, but wanted to share here as well to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this with their delivery experience. I was supposed to take delivery of my 4S yesterday, but there were a host of issues that prevented me from being able to do so.
1. App was showing “charge status not available”
2. App was showing pre-climate not available
3. Car would not let me log in as main user
4. Car would not fetch date and time. Showed 1/1/2000 and 12am
5. Car would not let me turn on automatic date and time
6. Parking cameras and functions were inoperable
7. QR code for logging into car would not populate. Had to manually attempt signing in
8. Factory reset did nothing to fix this
Oddly enough plug and charge setup worked. But there were so many other problems that I didn’t feel comfortable accepting the car. The service manager said something about PDI being done incorrectly. They mentioned that PDI was done with only one key in the car instead of two. Not sure why this would cause such a serious cascade of issues…but they’re going to attempt to PDI again and hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up tomorrow.
Seems like a huge oversight that this wasn’t discovered prior to my appointment. It was a huge waste of time and a very anticlimactic end to what was supposed to be a really exciting day. Very frustrating and disappointing first experience with Porsche. At least they provided me with a gas Macan loaner in the meantime.
