The issue where iOS won’t connect to CarPlay if your PCM is connected to your home network still exists in iOS 18.4.1 and after the latest software updated completed 2/5. I’m fairly sure this is a PCM issue rather than iOS as my Abarth 500e is connected to my home WiFi but never has any CarPlay connectivity issues.

There is a bit of a workaround though — I’ve found connecting the Macan PCM to my Guest network, or any other WiFi network at home hat has a different DHCP range or subnet from the network your iPhone is normally connected to does not affect the CarPlay connectivity.

Interesting, will have to try this out. On the plus side, it does seem to connect to CarPlay reasonably quickly once I back out of my drive

I just did it and it worked! I turned on WiFi on the car’s PCM and selected my guest network, which I named differently from my main one. Then deleted the connection with the main network. I locked the car and came back later and, voilà, Apple CarPlay was on and my phone had connected with the Macan’s WiFi automatically like before. And the car continued to be connected to my guest network! Thank you @JonoNZ!
