Hi forum

I’m new to this group but have an early U.K. build slot that I’m considering either cancelling or selling on if there’s any interest. It’s currently a Macan 4 in grey but I have a week to confirm and can update the spec if required.

I wasn’t sure if there was a more appropriate place to mention this - apologies if so.

Forum is still quite new so don’t think there’s really a designated place for this.

Mind me asking why you’re considering not taking the allocation?
As far as selling goes, seems the Turbo allocations are the rare ones, not so much the base 4.

Yes, that's also my experience with my dealership. They have 40+ available allocations for the Macan 4, but only 1 for the Turbo. That's why I took the launch vehicle because I want a turbo and I know if I don't take the launch, I won’t be able to get the turbo allocation for a while.

Interestingly I was offered either Turbo or 4 allocation and was told I could change that up to the freeze date next week.
Annoyingly the freeze date has remained the same despite the delivery dates slipping, I was told due to some last minute fixes to electrical systems.
I chose the 4 as it’s the family runaround and quite a premium for the Turbo. Porsche charging £15k for the rear motor.
Anyway if anyone knows of a forum to advertise the slot please let me know otherwise I’ll hand it back next week.

Is it just me or is it impossible to order a Macan. I’ve talked to two dealers and neither wants to talk a deposit because they don’t have an allocation.

When I placed my order (two weeks ago) my dealer told me that they had just one more slor and two days later it was gone.

I've been in contact with over a dozen dealers consistently and only 3 would accept deposits to secure a spot in the waitlist, the others would just take my name to contact me when they'll get an allocation. None would/could take an actual order.

I was able to snatch an allocation the same day it showed up - funny enough from one of the dealers that 2 weeks earlier said they'd contact me when one would be available. I didn't get that allocation thanks to my exchanges with them, it was through a forum member here who knew another rep.

Fact is, placing an order right now is close to impossible if their initial allocations are gone (which they should be). New allocations will be coming monthly and as production ramps up, this won't be an issue anymore.

You may check with Porsche Riverside. I sold them my Taycan two weeks ago and they still had 5 Macan 4 allocations for a 6/10 build freeze and Sept. delivery. I am working with Charles White.
