this is an oldie but goodie - and while it's specifcally for the Taycan - it works equally well for the new Macan (or any modern North American) EV…

basically what is the "minimum" kit one needs for traveling away from home with an EV these days…

NOTE: you can already use some Supercharger Sites that have "magicdocks" installed - simply pull in with your CCS1 based Macan/Taycan and use the site's provided adapter to plug in and use a Supercharger…

this site will show you "MagicDock" superchargers that you can use with your Macan EV today

simply set up the filters as shown below - and the map will show you only sites w/MagicDocks installed…no adapter required - because the "adapter" for CCS1 is provide by Tesla at the site…

Can I ask a dumb question? If I purchase a NACS/CCS adapter can I use Tesla superchagers now (non MagicDock sites)? I received conflicting information as to whether the Macan can access the Tesla network.

No not at this time. Most likely late 2025 would be a best guess.

as noted not yet - it’s a matter of authorization - only ford/gm/rivian so far - others are coming “soon” - limited to magic dock sites until further notice - vw/audi/porsche/scout press release from dec 2023 says 2025 - but not which end of 2025 - id guess late 2025 - and by 2026/2027 it will all be settled - but there are glimmers of hope - 350kw EA stations will charge your macan faster - and some people report that EA is improving!

the last and only official communication from VW/Audi/Porsche/Scout covering NACS and Superchargers is from Dec. 2023 - to my knowledge there have been no further "official" updates - but I welcome correction…this is the ONLY communication I've seen regarding VW/Audi/Porsche/Scout products in North America…

the overall trend is things are/will get better - but we are not there yet and sometimes it’s frustrating!

To add to the confusion, Tesla has been installing v4 stations, with the Magic Dock CCS hardware that are NOT open to all users - but are open to Rivian, GM etc. Maybe they will open these to all at some point once they know the usage patterns of these new sites.
