I’m at the Porsche centre at Reading - and just found a spare tyre solution.

Who knew Porsche had a collapsible spare tyre for the Macan Electric!!!! News to me. I didn’t even know these existed (max 50 mph).

You have to inflate them before use, and deflate before storing away. Living and learning. Hopefully it will be small enough for the frunk.

the code P95C601027 ensures it matches the holes when you pull out the original tyre / wheel for the Macan electric.

It’s on back order in the UK - so when it arrives I’ll post pictures.

Required for certain markets I believe - same for Taycan too, so been a thing for quite a while.

Not sure where you'd store a space saver if you bought one.

Standard as you know will be the tyre inflator and tyre sealant which is always what you need!

Does this collapsable spare tire allow cars with 22" tires to drive at 50 mph after a flat? I could see there being a limit on 20" or 21" rims for the spare to function, so I thought I would ask.

it’s most certainly not all you need. I had a tyre cut on my new Macan within a week of taking delivery - and the cut happened on the side wall. The sealant can’t be used. The AA called a tyre man who had to procure a new tyre from London (I was in Brighton) - all in all a 4 hour job whilst I waited from 1am in the morning to 5am - an utter nightmare. I won’t go though that again! So, no, the sealant is not sufficient at all.

I’ll try to store it in the frunk. Failing that it will go the boot. Maybe with the net over it so it doesn’t go flying. I’ll find a way, trust me.

that’s what Porsche Reading suggested for my requirement - yes. My Macan is on 22 wheels.

I would just call recovery than purchase a space saver if the tyre sealant doesnt do the job and the faff that that entails.
