If anyone else is blessed with OCD, my Macan is currently on the Future Way on the way to Halifax and then down the right coast. According to AIS, the boat is just now sailing North of England after going though the north sea,. It did not sail south of England through the channel.
I'm no expert, as an engineer, things like this are interesting.
The best source of info is your SA, but he would probably not know the ship until the car is assigned to it.
In my case, the next scheduled Davisville drop off was the end of February. But I received the notice that my car...
So is this thread is supposed to be your experience and observations, or a rehash of the opinions of others.... that we've read dozens of times? ;) Not to be nit picking but I'd rather be reading about member's here experience than a rehash of others.
Personal preference, perhaps, but to me the smoothness of Porche's regen/recuperation approach is far superior by far to Telsa's rudimentary jerky results and extends drive range significantly. What do you want, drive range or a toy?
I've read that the Macan has a heat pump.
"The heat pump uses the residual heat of the drivetrain or the ambient heat to efficiently warm up the vehicle's interior. With outside temperatures below 68° and activated air conditioning, the heat pump helps to save energy and has a positive effect...
Some well known brands of speakers need hours of break-in before they begin to sound right. Perhaps the cone material Bose uses needs the same. It is not all that unusual, often they sound too bright before settling in. .
Edit... TYD says 1/17 1/21 ..
Looks like Future Way is heading to Halifax and perhaps then Davisville. Usually a two week ride more or less.

Just got a pleasant surprise, received a TYD notice that my 4S has left Emden. Now to figure out what ship its on without resorting to calling the SA. Davisville is not scheduled on the VW car carrier export schedule until later in February. The Mavelous Ace is supposed to be going directly to...
I didn't mean to imply this was a recent image, just that Emden is a big port. That particular image is a screen shot from Apple Maps, who gets most of their satellite imagery from digitalglobe. Bing and Google also buy images from them and others. Last I checked each app shows a different image...
Porsche's implementation of mild one pedal (emulating engine breaking) appears to be perfect to me and for spirited driving. You can choose to coast instead to extend range.
I've been one pedal driving a EV for 5 years now, kinda like it around town or low speed. But it takes co much attention...
This site will tell you what is in port and expected arrivals. Click on the ship name and it will show you where the ship is and where its going. This will also include non VW ships, but I've read there are some ships that don't do AIS and won't be listed. Once you know your ship name, you can...
As far as I know, US orders prior to the mid November time frame are not supported. My 4S was ordered/assigned late November, TYD was working by the time i got home from the dealer, now waiting for a boat ride.
Your dealer must add your order to your account and enable TYD. You then get an email from Porsche with a link that leads you through the verification process. TYD has been available in the US for orders placed mid November, prior to that you are out of luck. Sometime the Porsche server is slow...
My 4s completed production today, a couple days early. But then it looks like it will just miss the ship to Davisville, RI and the next boat isn't scheduled until mid February . Hopefully it will sneak onto another boat and get here sooner, otherwise it will be another six weeks waiting.
