According to Grizzl-E classic documentation, the basic dumb EVSE has an overcurrent monitor and throws a fault when current draw is more than set by the DIP switches. I think the feature is required to get certified and EVSEs that have that sticker would have something similar. When it throws a...
I have a 4S and recently had a 4 loaner for a day. The throttle response is similar but the 4S is more satisfying, feels more responsive and lite on its toes. The 4S has rear wheel steering and PVT. RWS makes for a more fun drive while a big help navigating narrow city streets and parking areas...
Just a reminder this this 50%/100% setting just sets the EVSE current available parameter that is sent to the car It is up to the car to pull current up to that limit. When a car busts that limit, the EVSE should shut off the charging power (open the power relay contacts).
If your service provider won't address this, I would look at so called power line regulators or conditioners and feed your EVSE with its output. I think 45 amp rated ones are available for about $500 US but require professional installation.
This may be irrelevant or I may have missed something here but, when you plug in the portable charger into an outlet, I think the white power light should eventually turn green to indicate when it is ready to charge. When you plug in the car, the indicator may first turn yellow and then flash...
Its been about 10 F here for weeks and my updated 4S home charges fine. It always took longer than I'd expect to make the connection and start charging, but it may be several seconds longer now.
Specifically for the Macan.... drive it like you stole it, enjoy, secure loose things so they dont fly around and smack you in the head :)
Seriously, ONE piece of advice: As with any EV, there is a lack of road and engine noise, so it is so easy to bust the speed limit. By the way, that can...
Your assessment is consistent with mine. The lane keep changes are subtle and does not seem to produce the anxiety the previous version did. The "keep the hands on the wheel" monitoring also seems to be more subtle and not so much in your face.
Beside the smoother brakes, there seems to be...
Just throwing this out there in case it triggers an idea.
Years ago I enabled tracking features in a EVSE only to find out that the mothership needed to authenticate the car before it would allow charging. I found that the EVSE wireless and the network back to the mothership (and perhaps the...
Yeh misleading, the pre wire is the front to back wire. They still have to pull panels and wire the rear camera to power. When I ordered mine the SA said they could not do an install later unless it was prewired, so I opted for the useless option.
The service advisor and tech told me that getting the update will provide assurances the car will remain trouble free and they highly recommend it.. So it is damn if you do and damn if you don't. :)
Lane keep is aligned better since the update. I wonder if there is an adaptation (learned) parameter that was reset by the reboot or cleared by the update.
I'll have to try lane keeping next week. I also stopped using it routinely because of the right bias, but I could usually fix that by driving a little to the left and then engaging lane keep. It seemed to center until I made a lane change..... then I'd have to repeat.
My Dec 2024 build std 4S steering wheel gets hot sometimes, some spots more than others until it fully warms up. If I'm not wearing gloves I have to turn it off. I've not looked for an adjustment as it seems to work like other cars I've driven over the years. There may be some variation with...
The WSJ0 update seems to have gone well on my December 2024 build Feb 2025 delivered 4S.. The HCP2 control unit failed programing the first time but completed successfully the second time through.
I don't notice anything obviously different except that the brakes seem to operate smoother, not...
