That is disappointing. I too assumed that the range of the 4S would be in between the 4 and the turbo at 298 miles rather than the same as the turbo at 288.
Here’s my 4S configuration with just red seatbelts and red compass face since I thought the red door inserts were a bit much.

I couldn’t find any information about the tires on the U.S. configurator. Here are the highest rated 20” SUV all-season tires according to Tire Rack:
1) Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06
2) Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4
3) Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive
4) Continental CrossContact LX25

My Tesla had the softer “loop” side of Velcro attached to the back of the seatbelt to avoid the plastic banging sound. Would that work on the Macan?
I suggest you test drive the Macan EV Turbo when one becomes available at a local dealership or at the LA PEC. If you’re concerned about speed and punchlines, then order the Turbo or at least the 4S.
I’ve had 20” Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season 4 tires on my Tesla Y for years and they do offer great traction and a quiet ride.
One caveat is that they tend to wear down quickly after about 25K miles due to the extra battery weight of the electric car and become very noisy as the tread wears...
Is this a non-issue if I don’t plan to view dashcam video on my phone while driving with CarPlay navigation?
While driving, I want to be able to use CarPlay for navigation while recording video on my dashcam. When parked, I want to be able to record video on my dashcam if an impact is sensed...
The Porsche dashcam gets very bad reviews. I’m open to suggestions regarding which one to purchase based on clarity of picture, ability to record when parked without a battery pack, and ability to view picture in real-time via mobile phone via cellular network. (Feel free to start a separate...
Bummer — the tow hitch option was one of the reasons I bought the Macan instead of the Taycan so I could attach my bike rack. Glad to see your MTB fits in the trunk in the meantime!
The HUD navigation looked great when in saw it at the Atlanta Porsche Experience Center and your review confirms it.
Unfortunately I didn’t configure it on my 4S due to the high cost since I rarely take long driving trips.
Thanks for your review!
What does this mean? I still see illuminated door sills in the configurator and this is the first I’ve heard of them being a constrained option.
Does the conversion to adaptive LED lights in the U.S. simply involve a software update or does it require different hardware? Is Porsche likely to retroactively enable this feature in the U.S.?
My wife rarely used her rear wiper even in the rain in the ICE Mcan and I never needed one on my Tesla Y. As others have stated, I would not get the rear wiper since it’s an eyesore and limits rear visibility, and use a glass sealant if you’re still concerned.
One exception is if you live in a...
