Well please let us know how it goes with delivery. This should be one of the first 4S arrivals in the US.

I placed my order for my 4S the day after it was announced. I had a 4 ordered and they let me switch. So it locked 10/21 and the last time I had a message from my SA he indicated Jan 25 delivery . That will give you some idea of my time line.

I think @tmrqs is correct. So much depends on the spec and getting the allocation. Four to Five months from the time you get an allocation is about the best guess right now.

Same experience with my Tesla. Run it through the car wash 4 times a week, never a paint issue. Looks like the day I got it if not better because I ceramic it once a year. I guess I must not have a critical eye for bad paint or gaps. I suspect much of that was from early days and the story...

I would thank them for their honesty and tell them you will not accept a repaired Porsche. Why take that chance? I think most people would opt out and ask for a new car.
