The car is running Android auto OS as the media OS internally, but it has CarPlay support ... I even hope it will support Next gen CarPlay as Porsche is really into Apple Tech.
You need to take the the WLTP with the tires you have at 22C, everybody knows that when you take 22 inch wheels at 10 degrees and compare the numbers you will be 25% short 🤷♂️
If you look at the out of spec test, they beat the EPA and attain the WLTP.
I drive normal to sporty with my iX and I...
That is why I said German manufactures … they also beat the EPA … Ford 🤷♂️
Tesla is also very hard to reach the EPA, they even had to retract, correct some claims.
In hind sight the BMW is crazy efficient for such a bulky car. I really hope The Porsche can be a tad more efficient as it is lighter and more aero dynamic, so that the range difference is minimal.
12 K difference is not that much, also, I did not really calculate, but the upgrades on Turbo seem cheaper as well, anyway, if that difference would have been for the 4S, I would have waited for it, I went for the Turbo … The 4 has just not enough oomph … it’s slower than my iX 50 and that is...
I do not agree on WLTP not being accurate! I have an iX50 with 580km WLTP range which I can easily obtain from April to end of October. Driving normal with speeds 5% faster than the speed limit … As with all range quotes from WLTP it is heavily manufacture dependent … my experience is that...
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for me the spyder rims scream 80’s they really look out of date on todays EV cars, it’s combining 2 styles from different era’s. Wish you had the option to have the silver part of the standard rims in turbonite though 🤷♂️
I like the look of the 20 inch turbo’s on these pictures, I already had decided to stick with them for range, as you loose 30km with any other choice. Also the noise and softer ride will be welcome.
Was even higher on the highway but on backroads with sporty driving 19kwh/100km? The issue with that part of France is that there can be a lot of wind …
Anyway that is why I have opted for the 20 inch wheels should add around 10% range/lower consumption.
I ordered with the standard 20 inch wheels, range and ride comfort, but quite frankly they also look very good, which I could order them with black on turbonite instead of the silver.
Orders on launch data are being scheduled for production, it seems the first indicative delivery dates are September. (On the condition there are no hickups). I saw this at Porsche dealership, where I placed my order.🤞
I took the second display, with all the software evolutions going on it could become interesting. Also I hope one can use apps like route planning or music, so my partner can manage that whole driving navigating in lets say another app on the HUD and main screen. It’s less than 1% of the total...
Hmm the tests some journalists did seem to counter indicate this … on YT you have carmaniac, he did an early test, out of spec and another US based outlet all had 300+ miles range at highway speed … so 20% below WLTP which is normal als WLTP is a mix of driving …
It’s been beaten by an ugly stick both outside and inside, the dashboard with its extra center/passenger display is just horrendous. If there is one thing positive there seems to be more space in the booth and also where the passengers sit, but that needs to be verified in person.
