Unfortunately, i don't think that's a normal option (limestone beige) - on the standard configurator for the Macan... Perhaps as a Sonderwunsch (read: more $$$ IF you can get a slot)
Based on the Taycan and Panamera pics i'm seeing though, you're right in that the limestone would probably be a...
Hehe, hopefully time will prove us both correct in terms of the actual colour :)
I think dealers worldwide tend to order stock car interiors in black as it's the most 'unoffending' colour (or lack thereof) there is... Even when i was looking through the build list of cars my Dealer had ordered...
Thanks for sharing - The following video also popped up on my YouTube search earlier and like most forumers, think we're just glad to get any extra snippets/morsels of info that we can at the moment whilst waiting for delivery of our own cars...
On the colour, i agree it does the 'chalk beige'...
Yeah, i guess this is what you get for a global supply chain and the fact that the batteries (cells) themselves are only one cog in the larger 'wheel' of the BMS (Draxlmeier)...
On the Draxlmeier plant in Leipzig, my thoughts were also initially that it was 'exclusive' to Porsche (they seem to...
Honestly it probably seems like the most plausible explanation.
Hard to verify until either the Draxlmeier confirms (unlikely) or more probably a Macan needs requires battery servicing and then we can look at the cell manufacturer label (also hoping that won't be for a while)
Think i understand the confusion...
All the quotes for 380 Miles range (even in the article linked) are using WLTP, not EPA testing standard. Figures quoted in this thread are the official EPA standard - what i'm taking as the most 'conservative' benchmark of the 3 'Standards' (NEDC>WLTP>EPA)...
Hi All,
Yet another ājust wonderingā question (whilst waiting for delivery) - but I had always read that the Battery for the Macan was to be supplied by CATL..
Per the EPA Testing Data results sheet (as posted by @JayGT4 in the EPA Thread), Battery Manufacturer is listed as "DFS Draxlmaier"...
Awesome find! So at least we now have the EPA numbers as well!
Can imagine a lot more info will flood out over the coming weeks as people start taking deliveries. Itās going to be an agonising wait for those in the build queue (like myself) but will be good to hear/see the reviews on how the...
Seriously bummed if this is true - i also would be tempted to just wait if option were unavailable.
Could ask what production month your build slot was for? Mine apparently is later this month (September) - so Iām also just waiting for confirmation now (based in Malaysia).
Will update back if...
Thanks for reminding me to circle back. My SA told me that the pre-wiring is for BOTH the front and rear cameras. So there is some hope after all.
Hopefully with some of the first orders being delivered this month, weāll be able to get some concrete confirmation (either way).
Nice find!
Honestly like Duckman, I also went for the truffle brown for āsafetyā but have been also playing with the configurator for kicks (as Iām sure others have too) and found the contrasting leather option quite fascinating to configure - but without seeing it in the āfleshā, was paranoid...
Oh wow, didnāt know that feature had been rolled-out to in-production models already. I mean itās at least a step in the right direction - baby steps I guess. :)
On the HUD - thinking about it a bit moreā¦. Unless thereās an agreed standard for all 3rd party Nav to send instructions in a...
Thatās definitely an interesting find - Thanks for highlighting. At first glance i thought it was just the default Nav until I saw the Apple Maps theme/colours. Even if it isnāt the whole 9-yards in terms of new CarPlay, itād be a good step - ceding the main area of the dash to a 3rd party is a...
+1 for body colour (ordered per my spec) - but agree it depends on the exterior colour chosen and/or the ālookā youāre going for (eg B&W āPandaā contrast).
For me, I just went for the off-road package as that āsolvedā the problem for me, came with some other body painted front/rear bits added...
Lots of good info posted in the 992 forums (see my post #3 above) about the connector and even pin diagram. Just note that for people to use it for 3rd party hardware, you can buy a socket adapter to tap the wires more cleanly as the connector by default is proprietary.
Iām still thinking of...
Thatās good to know/reassuring GH - Could ask source your source of info (SA, Porsche Tech, Current Macan/Taycan Owner (as closest equivalent), etc)?
I plan on checking with my SA later today when I drop by the dealer so will hopefully have another datapoint.
Chose B & C... I'm a personal fan of the Spyder design. I would have loved to go 22"s, but road conditions were i live dictate that 21's are probably the 'sane' choice for a daily driver.
'B' - predominantly to 'match' the frozen blue main - my personal prefer to have gloss trim to remain as...
My SA took the other path, recommended that it be fitted (just in case)... In my other vehicles, i'm using iRoad (a Korean brand) with additional battery but took the chance this round not to screw with running/tapping wires in the hopes of sticking as-close-to manufacturer spec as possible...
Just wondering if anyone knows for the wiring preparation (QK3), is this for BOTH front and rear cameras?
I'm sure most of us have spec'd this option but the generic write-up in the configurator doesn't seem to state. Wondering if any current Macan owners with this option (closest equivalent, i...
Whilst we all can hope for this to happen, honestly unless it's been already 'announced' as a major feature (which, imo this is), i don't take it as a great sign... That and the fact that this new Macan EV PCM is Android Auto based (what my SA told me) doesn't give me hope that new CarPlay is...
