My partner and I have shared a single car for 28 years. Not once in those 28 years was there a competition for who got to drive the car as I actually didn't like driving; I was content to sit in the passenger's seat.

It's a very different story since the Macan EV came into our lives. Now, both of us head for the driver's seat when it's time to depart. It is so much fun that I love driving again and don't really want to share it:). The last time I felt this way was about 45 years ago when I was 17 and bought a Datsun 260z. That was a fun car, but not nearly as fun as the Macan EV.

Oh, and speaking of warnings, the other reason that I love this car are the safety features that I've already taken advantage of. I'm getting older and I find the various warnings to be invaluable to me (and my neighbors):
- the blind spot warning (especially the flashing LED that grows increasingly insistent based on the proximity of the car in the blind spot),
- the various parking warnings (we have a very tight garage),
- the approaching cyclist warning (our city has bike lanes everywhere and they are well-used). These warnings are issued when cyclists approach on both the left and right sides. This is invaluable as our cyclists tend to pass on both sides. Also super useful to avoid "dooring" cyclists. I'm a cyclist too and every car should have this feature.
- the approaching jogger warning (same as above),
- the automatic breaking before I reverse over a neighbor's kid playing in my driveway,
- the list goes on

And one last thing to love - we optioned the rear real steering; the turning radius is so small that we don't have to do as many 3-point turns anymore and this is a major benefit to us and the members of our community:).
