Hi Paul. I am certainly satisfied with the Macan. Unlike the Taycan, there are few technical problems. I now sometimes hear a thud at the front near the speed bumps. The cause is probably the engine mount. The dealer will check this soon (Porsche bulletin # 2432).

Furthermore, my brakes sometimes seem to 'stick' when driving away, if I have not used the car for a few days. I also had other tires put on it. I already wrote a thread about how the tire choice at Porsche is a lottery. I had the Bridgestones replaced by the much quieter Goodyears. They also have lower rolling resistance.

But other than that, the Macan is fine. It is significantly quieter than the Taycan. I had air suspension in the Taycan just like now, but this is also more comfortable.

When I bought the car, the 20" inch rim was too ugly and there was nothing left but 21". Now there is more choice and I would recommend the 20” Macan S wheels.

The finish is top notch. Just like with the Taycan, I opted for the extensive leather package and the beige stitching contrasts nicely with the black leather dashboard. Also again a beige leather interior.
In retrospect, I should have ordered the Karuun wood. However, there was no example of that when I made my definite order, so I didn't know if it was a good choice. I will also have the rear window wiper sprayed in body color. You couldn't order that back then either.
Hi Ben, I ordered Karuun
Made the same choice, for usage in the Netherlands I think the Macan 4 is totally satisfactory, so I used the price difference for some extra options.

I noticed you will have the truffle bown interior too, nice!
Great, I saw different reviews and understood that the 4S is close to the Turbo, I decided not to but the Turbo but a pretty full 4S for the price of a standard Turbo😉

You're certainly right about that Joop, the specs are closer to the Turbo while the price is closer to the 4 :)

Hello All, I have a 4S. Love it. Coming from a tesla M3P the build quality is brilliant. I had my problem with plug and charge fixed. Sometimes you lose connection in the app etc software (stability) is pretty bad compared to Tesla. I had my share of warnings but they all went away by themselves. There is a solution for the annoying knocking of the Seat belt to the B-pillar.
from the Dutch Tesla performance whatapp group there is now also a Macan EV / taycan whatsapp group. DM me for a link. Questions can be relatively fast solved

it’s a great car…!

Hello all, I have a Macan 4 since mid-November and I am very pleased with it. Already driven 4000 km including on the German highway 😀. Before I had a Jaguar I-Pace but the Macan is more premium. No problems so far, only the previously mentioned warnings that disappear by themselves. Yesterday, I had my winter wheels mounted. Just in time for the weather in the coming days…

I’m getting my Macan 4S delivered next week, interested to know whether there are more Dutch people on this forum?
Just got my car! Great first impression!

Also 2 points of attention:

1. charging port not fully aligned with the car, seems to be a known issues, Porsche is working on it

2. Error message for Assitance Systems! Any one of you same issue?

Congratiolations on your Macan Joop!

Regarding your second point: I received the same message once. After the car had stood still for an hour with the ignition switched off, the message disappeared. I haven't had it since. There have been several reports on this forum about this problem, especially in the UK. That has been improved after an update.

Your first complaint, the charging port, is more common as you will have seen. I hope your dealer fixes it, but it's bad for such an expensive car...

I bought the Macan S wheels as winter set … the default 20’s are not nice and I probably will use them as the winter set.
My question, which Goodyears did you take (summer? I have taken them for the winterset as they are the best option for winter in my opinion) and more importantly are they available in 20 inch. Have the Bridgestones as summer and I’m not thrilled about them.

I find the Bridgestones quite “hard” even in 20 inch … did you see an improvement in efficiency?

No, I have only driven about 200 kilometers with the Bridgestones so I have no figures on consumption. I certainly don't think my Macan is economical on Goodyears either. I have an average consumption of 22.6 kWh / 100km after 2.400 km driving. My Taycan did that significantly better. It did have 20" Michelins and I think this makes a difference.

The Goodyears are quiet and that is very nice, especially because the Macan is much quieter than the Taycan. They certainly feel a bit softer too. So overall a better choise, even if it costed me with a discount € 1.550 extra to replace them. The dealer didn’t want to take the Bridgestones back.

If you look at it all together, it is simply ridiculous that you are part of a tire lottery (see my threath) and that you have to pay the extra costs for a product that could simply be better and was not your choice...
