There is another cause for these assistance system error messages, albeit rare. In Arizona, they made a significant change in the routing of I-17. Each time I now drive this newly relocated stretch of road, I get this error message. It goes away as soon as the new road merges back onto the long-existing road. It makes me believe that, in part, the system is relying on a gps database for some roadway information and if that database is not aligned with the changed reality on some roadways, the error pops up.

Innodrive contains to operate properly and I can see no change in how the car operates on this new stretch of road, other than giving me the error message.

The assistance systems error disappeared after a few days (i.e. no error today). BUT the weather was crazy hot on Sunday (22 C for Montreal in October!), and a nice 17 C today as well. Let's see if it comes back when the temperature drops more later in the week.

This is clearly a very common issue and it seems that Porsche don't know how to fix it.

Mine has just come from the dealership yesterday for this exact issue. Car spent the full day there and unbelievably within 3 minutes of driving away the message came up again!! I'm at a loss as to what to do now if Porsche themselves don't now how to fix this problem.

They tried speaking about sensitivity in wet weather. No – it does this even when dry and my car has just been cleaned. And I'm sick of the B.S. from the dealership who wouldn't acknowledge this is a very common problem. Have they not seen the 13 pages in threads like this one.

Hi friends- Has anyone reached a fairly reliable solution for this problem? '24 Macan 4 EV, have this exact issue almost daily. Of course, my Porsche center advisor is a robot and claims there is nothing to be done, talking to a wall.

They've already cleared codes once, but claims there is no problem. Won't even acknowledge this is a common issue. Would love to see if anyone has had success in 2025.

I would like everyone to take this in consideration when addressing the issue:
Does the error stay on all the time (even when you leave the car and come back) or is it just turning on and off at times? My particular issue is that it never went away for weeks.

You have an actual issue if it stays on at ALL times, not if it keeps coming back sometimes. The Macan sensors are very sensitive, and the weather can set it off at times, especially in the winter. Although, if the sensor comes back every single time, there might be a faulty sensor anyway.

But yeah, the dealer won't care unless it is frequent.

I had the problem during one month: each time I started the car, after less than 1 meter, the warning occured.
It disappeared for no apparent reason and never come back With this particular pattern.

I picked up my Macan 4 on June 4, 2025 and had all the issues described in this thread on my way home. I reset the PCM to factory and rebuilt my profile including adding the EA certificate. It all went smoothly. Since then I have had minor issues occasionally that have always self corrected or required the simple reboot with the volume button. This might be worth a try.

I had tried that, with no success.
My problems were and are not linked to the PCM and its software, but probably to the electronic modules and their firmwares...

Turns out my Assistance Systems Error is specifically related to the Park Assist/Sensors. Effectively everytime I hit reverse the error comes up and there is no more proximity beep while parking. Cameras still work .... so I lowkey kind of like it .... 😆

I’ve had my macan EV for a month. In addition to the driver assist warning I also today had a warning about the SOS system and a warning about the airbag. The airbag warning says to take it to the dealer. It was raining cats and dogs today here in Los Angeles. Has anyone else had the airbag warning?

Picked up my Turbo on Dec. 1, and had the assistance system errors from day 1. I also have what I think is a related issue as the car has dementia….it doesn’t know where it is. Reviewing some other threads here, that appears to be a GPS hardware failure. Pretty disappointing to have the car delivered with these issues, along with underinflated tires, which gave me a TPMS error on the way home from the dealer.

It’s going in for service on Monday. We will see if they can clean all this up…..

I frequently experienced the Assistance Systems Limited warning on my 4S over the past year. Since getting the software update three weeks ago, I haven’t gotten the error, but it may be too soon to conclusively say it’s resolved.

Unfortunately I have experienced an issue several times after the update where no sound comes from the speakers. It appears to be a software issue since it resolves itself when I exit, lock the car, and return 20+ minutes later.

Leaving and locking the car did the trick for me. Little bit exciting on the highway but well worth it. Others have next level energy conservation shutting down all displays while driving. Not bad, if you can't see the speedometer you can't speed. It's like a lucky dip, you never know until you open doors and start driving. A gift that keeps on giving. Well done Porsche.

Got my car back today (Dec 15) error-free! Front camera had active faults from incorrect coding, and an internal fault. Reprogrammed the camera and calibrated everything, test drove it and cleared all faults. No codes, no warnings after about 100 miles. They also fixed my GPS, which was not showing the correct location of the car. That turned out to be software related also.

I'm glad these are fixed, but certainly didn't expect a Porsche to be delivered with such easily detected issues. And I did make it known to the dealership GM.
