My wife is not a car enthusiast, but it was a beautiful day for the event, in Dallas’s White Rock Lake (I call it Dallas’s “Central Park”), and they had a food truck (“Fish & Fizz”) that my wife loves, which serves excellent gluten free fish and chips. So, since it was Mother’s Day, we just “had“ to go.
Rather than park a mile a way and hike in, for $40, they let me park with the Porsches. My 4S was the only Macan and only non-911 / 718 / antique 2 seater variant of any variety. The other Porsches included some incredibly beautiful and unique examples. However, just from watching the foot traffic, I’m pretty sure my 4S got the most attention / closer looks from the crowd. A lot of the people I spoke with assumed it was a Cayenne. And, because they took off my “electric” badges when I had PPF applied, many people I spoke with didn’t realize it was electric (so I put one of the removed electric badges on my windshield).
I didn’t stay terribly long, so I didn’t chat with many of the ICE Porsche owners, just mostly checked out the hundred or so amazing cars of many European makes and stood back and watched people inspect the row of Porsches. Anyway, it was a good time; can recommend!
