Auto lock when driving - doesn’t Auto Unlock in park?

So I like the auto lock doors feature while driving. But in all my other cars including an Audi, the car unlocks when you put it in park. For some reason it’s not unlocking and I have to manually unlock when I stop to pick someone up. Am I missing something?

This is indeed very annoying, especially when picking somebody up at the airport who needs to get in the trunk and into the car quickly. I think I'll just disable auto-lock since I'd rather get car-jacked than have my wife on the sidewalk while I try to work out how to unlock the stupid car.

None of my cars unlock when placed in park, but they all have a master unlock button on the arm rest, quick and easy... except when the wife is on the sidewalk and I'm forgetful...

Nope missing nothing.

Auto unlock would be the wrongt outcome. The car doesn't know where it is after all and therefore should remain locked until such times as you tell it otherwise.
