Hi Group

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Macan 2025 4S. I went to our second home and plugged into a CP Lvl 2 wall mounted charger. Hard wired at 50 amp. This charger had been used by previous cars with no issues. This was the first time for this new porsche to be on this charger

Upon plugging in and returning a few minutes later I saw the red circle of death on the charging session. Unplugged and plugged back in. Got a green light but only at 3.8 KW no errors on the car, car app or ChargePoint app. ChargePoint app still shows connected and 50 amp. And is communicating with the Internet. Same for the Porsche app.

No charging sessions set or limits on the app. I cant find anything in the pcms that appears to be limiting rate.

Any suggestions team?

Thanks!!

I think someone reported something similar a few months ago. I believe reseting the EVSE resolved the issue.

I saw that thread. I did try a total reboot on the charger to no avail. Only last logic step I can think of is to plug into a different charger and see if it is the car or the charger.

Disable any programming on the EVSE.

I went to another lvl2 charger just now. It charged at full rate. So it is definitely the ESVE. Is there a hard reset on ChargePoint chargers?

do a factory reset on the EVSE - and check the connect for signs of wear/tear/thermal damage…
